Meibomian gland dysfunction is a chronic disease of ocular surface, can cause eye irritation,it appears abnormal, eyelid margin, corneal and conjunctival inflammation. At present, has gradually become a clinical common disease, due to its long duration and easy repeatedly etc, often give a great patient. The aspects of traditional Chinese medicine on the meibomian gland dysfunction of lack of unified, also do not have physical aspects of the related research of traditional Chinese medicine,do physical research, between meibomian gland dysfunction and can better prevent the occurrence of chronic meibomian gland dysfunction and provide the basis for its treatment. Objective:this topic proposed by the methods of epidemiology of meibomian gland dysfunction group of traditional Chinese medicine physique survey, collect related clinical data, people understand the meibomian gland dysfunction of TCM constitution type distribution of the onset of preliminary discussion meibomian gland dysfunction and correlation of constitution,to further explore the constitution the meibomian gland dysfunction severity link, and understand the related factors affecting the disease. So that the clinical can be better from the point of view of physique to prevent and treat the disease. Methods:according to include and exclude standards, the general information of 120 patients with meibomian gland dysfunction, clinical symptoms, signs, the traditional Chinese medicine physique scale data are collected statistics,According to the criteria of evaluation, the degree of meibomian gland dysfunction and the type of traditional Chinese medicine constitution were evaluated. The distribution characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine constitution and the related influencing factors of the disease were analyzed by data analysis software in the patients with meibomian gland dysfunction. Results:among 120 patients with meibomian gland dysfunction,46(38.3%)were male and 74(61.7%)were female. The ratio of male to female was 1/1.61.The mean age of the patients was 49.26±14.161 years old and the mean course of disease was7.46±9.44months.The number of these patients who use video terminals for more than 4 hours a day is about 70.8%of patients with chronic inflammation of the eye surface accounted for about 52.5%.In clinical symptoms, dry eye is the main manifestation, followed by higher frequency of itching, eye grinding pain.Foreign matter sensation.1.3%of patients with meibomian gland dysfunction had mild or moderate bulbar conjunctival congestion when examined by the R-Scan system.64%of the patients with meibomian gland dysfunction showed a thinning of lipid layer.4.3%of the patients with meibomian gland dysfunction had a slight or moderate bulbar conjunctival congestion. The average height of lacrimal stream in these patients was 0.20±0.071 mm,the first NIBUT was 5.868±3.5631s,and the average NIBUT was 8.214±4.5243s.The proportion of the patients with moderate pacification(32.5%),Yin deficiency(20.0%),yang-deficiency(17.5%),qi-stagnation quality(10.0%)and damp-heat quality(10.0%)was higher. In male patients,Yang deficiency(23.9%),damp heat quality(15.2%),Yin deficiency(13.0%)were dominant, female patients were Yin deficiency(24.3%),Yang deficiency(13.5%)and Qi stagnation quality(10.8%).Conclusion:1.The proportion of Yin deficiency(20.0%),Yang deficiency(17.5%),damp and Heat(10.0%)and Qi stagnation(10.0%)in MGD patients were higher than those in the normal population.Male patients were Yang deficiency quality, damp heat quality,Yin deficiency quality, female patients were Yin deficiency quality,Yang deficiency quality,Qi stagnation quality.2.The results of this study are that women are more common in patients with MGD.3.Logistic regression analysis showed that physical fitness was correlated with the severity of MGD,age, ocular surface inflammation or the risk factors of MGD aggravation.
