The Clinical Observation Of Traditional Chinese Medicine Fumigation Combined With Meibomian Gland Massage In The Treatment Of Meibomian Gland Dysfunction

Objective: The clinical efficacy of meibomian gland massage,traditional Chinese medicine fumigation combined with meibomian gland massage,and intense pulsed light combined with meibomian gland massage in the treatment of meibomian gland dysfunction was compared.Methods: Collected from June 2019 to February 2020 in ineye hospital meibomian gland dysfunction of ophthalmic hospital patients,90 cases(180 eyes),three patients were randomly divided into A,B,C,group A conventional meibomian gland massage therapy,group B with traditional Chinese medicine fumigation with meibomian gland massage therapy,group C with intense pulsed light with the meibomian gland massage therapy.Treatment once every two weeks,total treatment three times,a total of 6 weeks follow-up observation,all the collected before every treatment in patients with ocular surface disease index(ocular surface diseases,the index of OSDI),tear secretion(Schirmer I test),it appears rupture time(breakup time of tear film,BUT),corneal fluorescent dye,meibomian gland integral,etc.,each team will assess the effectiveness of the three kinds of treatment and the clinical efficacy of contrast.SPSS26.0 software was used for statistical analysis of the data in this study.Results:(1)The OSDI,BUT,meibomian gland discharge capacity,meibomian gland secretions,lipid layer status within the group,according to the comparative effectiveness of strong pulse light joint meibomian gland massage group(group C)started at the time of 2 weeks follow-up has significant curative effect(P < 0.05),Chinese medicine fumigation combined meibomian gland massage group(group B)at4 weeks follow-up start has significant curative effect(P < 0.05),the conventional meibomian gland massage group(group A)started at the time of 6 weeks follow-up has significant curative effect(P < 0.05).The comparison of efficacy between groups showed that there was no significant difference between the traditional Chinese medicine fumigation combined with meibomian gland massage group(group B)and the intense pulsed light combined with meibomian gland massage group(group C)at the 6-week follow-up(P >,0.05).(2)the cornea fluorescent dye,Schirmer group curative effect comparison shows that the traditional Chinese medicine fumigation combined meibomian gland massage group(group B)started at the time of 2 weeks follow-up has significant curative effect(P < 0.05),intense pulsed light joint meibomian gland massage group(group C)started at the time of 4 weeks follow-up has significant curative effect(P < 0.05),the conventional meibomian gland massage group(group A)started at the time of 6weeks follow-up has significant curative effect(P < 0.05).Comparison of intergroup efficacy showed statistically significant differences in pairwise comparison between the three groups at 4-week follow-up and 6-week follow-up(P < 0.05).(3)comparison of the curative effect of the proportion of meibomian gland loss in the group showed that the group of intense pulsed light combined with meibomian gland massage(group C)had significant curative effect at the 6-week follow-up(P <0.05),while the group of conventional meibomian gland massage(group A)and the group of traditional Chinese medicine fumigation and washing combined with meibomian gland massage(group B)had no significant curative effect during the follow-up period(P > 0.05).Conclusion:(1)conventional meibomian gland massage,traditional Chinese medicine fumigation combined with meibomian gland massage,and intense pulsed light combined with meibomian gland massage were all effective in the treatment of meibomian gland dysfunction.(2)raditional Chinese medicine fumigation has a significant effect on increasing the amount of tear secretion and improving the cornea.(3)during the 6-week follow-up,traditional Chinese medicine fumigation combined with meibomian gland massage could also achieve the therapeutic effect of intense pulsed light combined with meibomian gland massage in the treatment of meibomian gland dysfunction.(4)none of the three treatments significantly improved the proportion of meibomian gland loss.
