Space-borne storage devices are an indispensable part of the integrated electronic platform for satellites and are mainly used to store data of various scientific experiments.With the rapid development of space science in China,the types of exploration missions are constantly enriched and the amount of data generated is increasing,which also puts forward higher requirements for space-borne storage devices.Space-borne storage systems are developing towards large capacity,high speed,miniaturization,low power consumption,standardization and scalability.Since the development of Solid-state Recorder(SSR)with semiconductor storage devices in the 1990 s,its capacity and throughput rate have been greatly improved,however,the increase speed of throughput rate is obviously not as fast as that of capacity.In order to meet the demand for timely and effective storage of massive space scientific experimental data in the future,this paper will study the method of improving the throughput rate of space-borne storage system.Based on the calculation and analysis of the factors affecting the throughput rate of space-borne storage system,a targeted scheme to improve the throughput rate is proposed: NAND FLASH,which supports synchronous data interface,is applied to the space-borne storage system to increase the transfer rate on the NAND FLASH data bus;eight-level flow operation is introduced to make the multi-chip NAND FLASH in storage array time-sharing multiplexing of data bus between FPGA,to make full use of the waiting time in storage operations;the parallel expansion of multi-chip NAND FLASH data bit width as well as the functional modularization and interface standardization are carried out on the single board,lay the foundation for parallel expansion between multiple boards,to increases the bit width of the concurrent NAND FLASH data bus.This paper studies the high-speed synchronous NAND FLASH space-borne storage technology.On the basis of the theoretical knowledge of space-borne storage technology,the hardware design and FPGA logic code design of high-speed synchronous NAND FLASH space-borne storage controller were completed,and the system functions were simulated and verified.Compared with the traditional method,it not only effectively improves the system throughput rate,but also realizes the miniaturization of the system.
