With the advance of society and development of technology, human beings are producing enormous information in the modern world, therefore are getting more and more demanding for the speed, capacity, power consumption and reliability of the information storage system. This paper focuses on how to develop high efficiency and top quality video storage system to realize accurate storage of huge high speed video data in real time.The paper starts with the background of this research and then presents the system hardware design according to the requirement of the task, and finally elaborates the logic design of the system. Targeting at high speed MC1362COMS camera, the system uses NAND Flash Memory as the basic storage device, and forms100GB storage arrays to achieve high-speed lossless data storage. In the paper, the functional principles of NAND Flash chip and the feature of data export of high speed CMOS camera are highlighted. A control model, which realizes the reading, writing, scrubbing of NAND Flash chip array as well as bad block management, and a processing module, which realizes the Serial to Parallel conversion of the high speed data output by the camera, were designed in the FPGA to store the high speed data output (500MB/s) by the camera in real time. After the storage task is accomplished, the data is uploaded to the host computer through the high speed reading module integrated in FPGA and Gigabit Ethernet interface.The fruit of this research has been applied in a system and the rationality of the system design has been proved by the test results.
