Investigation And Research On The Book Donation Of Undergraduate University Libraries In Hefei Area

With the continuous development of economic,social and cultural undertakings and the continuous improvement of public donation awareness,the phenomenon of people from all walks of life donating books to libraries is more and more common.For libraries,receiving books as gifts can enrich and supplement collection resources and relieve the shortage of purchasing funds.Compared with public libraries,the collection resources of university libraries mainly serve the teaching and research of teachers and students of the university,so they have a lower degree of opening to the outside world and higher requirements on the quality of donated books.Then how about the current situation of university libraries in the construction of book donation system and the processing and utilization of donated books? In order to better understand the current situation of the book donation work in university libraries,this paper conducts an investigation and research on the book donation work in undergraduate university libraries in Hefei area,in order to promote the work efficiency of the book donation in university libraries and make the donated books play their due role.This article focuses on seven chapters:The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly discusses the research background and significance of this paper,expounds the relevant concepts and significance of book donation work,sorts out and summarizes the literature related to the book donation work of libraries at home and abroad,and introduces the research content,research methods and innovative points of this paper.The second chapter is the investigation and design of how to investigate the current situation of the book donation work in Hefei university libraries.This chapter mainly clarifies the investigation object,investigation method and investigation content to facilitate the smooth development of the investigation work.The third chapter is mainly to comb and analyze the investigation results.Mainly through the use of a variety of survey methods,from the book donation channel construction,book donation system construction,book donation management work and other specific aspects to illustrate and summarize the current situation of book donation work in Hefei university libraries.The fourth chapter is based on the overall survey situation,and selects three undergraduate college libraries that are representative of the development of book donation in Hefei area.Survey and analyze on the book donation work of the three university libraries from seven aspects: book donation channel construction,book donation system construction,book donation source and type,book donation management department and personnel,book donation feedback way,book donation publicity way,book donation processing and utilization.Then summarize the advantages and disadvantages of the book donation work.Based on the above survey results,the fifth chapter summarizes six specific problems in the book donation work of Hefei university libraries,such as the low attention to online book donation channels,lack of professional management,lack of targeted book donation feedback,insufficient promotion of book donation work and neglect of the disclosure and reuse of donated books.The sixth chapter is based on the problems found in the book donation work of undergraduate college libraries in Hefei,and put forward corresponding optimization suggestions,such as strengthening the construction of book donation web pages or columns,improving and standardizing book donation,setting up a special person to be responsible for book donation,providing targeted and diversified donation feedback,increasing the book donation promotion methods and efforts and speeding up the establishment of book donation disclosure platforms and reuse mechanisms.The last part is the conclusion.This part is mainly to summarize the survey results and shortcomings of this paper,and put forward the prospect of the future Hefei university libraries to better carry out the work of book donation.
