Volunteering plays a basic role in library development.Volunteers selflessly contribute their time and energy to provide volunteer help to those in need.It is precisely because of volunteers 'unpaid contributions and voluntary contributions that volunteer activities have rapidly and extensively developed.After more than a hundred years of development,it has become an organized and large-scale volunteer team.Libraries in Western countries have carried out library volunteer activities under the influence of the volunteer tide.In the 1930s,the United States launched a large-scale library volunteer activity.Along with the pace of Chinese reform and opening up,Chinese library scholars have introduced the new concept of library volunteers into China.In the 1980s,library volunteers appeared for the first time in Chinese universities.After the volunteers were introduced into the country,due to the differences between the North and the South,in the North,we called them volunteers;In the South,it is called volunteer or volunteer.In recent years,under the influence of overseas library volunteer management development,domestic library volunteer management has rapidly developed,but there are still considerable gaps in comparison with foreign countries.Taking Hefei's university library as an object of investigation,which makes a thorough investigation and understanding of the present situation of volunteering management about university libraries,and comprehensive uses the methods of literature research,case analysis,questionnaire survey,and in-depth interview.Collecting and collating information on volunteer management status and activities in university libraries,which based on the theory of relevant literature,through the distribution of questionnaires to library volunteers and in-depth interviews with library volunteer instructors.This paper analyzes the problems and shortcomings in the volunteer management process of university libraries,and analyzes the countermeasures of volunteering management in university libraries in Hefei,in order to provide valuable reference for the development and follow-up research of libraryvolunteers.This article mainly includes the following six aspects:The first chapter is the introduction,it is mainly introducing a relevant background and information of volunteers,the development process of library introducing volunteers,and the gap between domestic and foreign library volunteers development.The purpose and significance of the study is to take the university library in Hefei as the main body.To document and summarize related academic research at home and abroad.This paper introduces the research methods and how to carry out field research and data collection,and combs the research ideas of the full text.The second chapter is about investigation and design of volunteer management in university libraries in Hefei.To determine the sample of the survey,the 18 undergraduate colleges in Hefei areas were the most investigated.Design survey method,for college library volunteers design questionnaire;Conduct in-depth interviews with volunteer instructors.The third chapter is a investigation of volunteering management in university libraries in Hefei area.Taking 18 undergraduate colleges and universities in Hefei as a sample,we conducted field research on the current situation of volunteer management in the library,understood the operating mechanism of volunteer teams,and paid attention to volunteers 'real experience and needed for volunteering activities.Based on field research,The volunteers of three university libraries such as China science and technology University,Anhui agricultural University and Anhui Xinhua University were studied and analyzed in depth as a typical case.The fourth and fifth chapters about some problems of volunteering management in university libraries in Hefei and the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.Based on the theory of existing literature,this paper summarizes the existing problems and perplexities about the volunteering management in university libraries in Hefei from six aspects:recruitment process,training process,evaluation process,motivation process,feedback process and volunteer propaganda work.The corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are putting forward,and they will be constructed a great perfect volunteer management mechanism which is suitable and sustainable development of local university librariesThe sixth chapter is the conclusion.Summarizing the research results of this paper,expounding the shortcomings in the research process and the places to be improved,and describing the vision of the future development of volunteers in university libraries in Hefei and the prospects for related academic research.
