Only establish a positive outlook on ageing in whole society,take a road to active aging can provide vitality for China's economic and social development.Therefore,in the present moment,it is of great significance to build a positive image of the elderly.When I combed the Internet-related news reports from 2006 to 2018,I found that: The online media image of the elderly group presents a stigmatized character,Starting with the "Peng Yu Case" in Nanjing in 2006,the incident of "helping the elderly be erroneous" has dominated since then;Elderly negative news reports focused on 2013-2015.During this period,negative issues were further expanded,and the negative media image of the elderly was continuously strengthened and consolidated,causing widespread public controversy.The occurrence of these incidents has subverted the traditional image of "kindness and simplicity" and "kindness" of the elderly in China in the past,and has been labeled with "stigma" such as "presuming on their seniority" and "low quality".In the past two years,the negative news reports related to the elderly have slowed down.With the rise of social media,new features of online news reports related to the elderly have also appeared.This article takes Sina Weibo,the largest social media platform in China,as the research object.Statistical analysis of news reports realted to seniors on Sina Weibo since 2019 through content analysis and comparative analysis to Understand the new characteristics of the image of the elderly group online media in the new era.This research selects the news released by three representative media accounts,"People's Daily","Burning News" and "Headline News" as the research sample,and From the perspective of frame theory,it constructs categories from four aspects: report subject,reporting position,source and report form.Through the analysis of 668 research samples,it was found that old news reports on Sina Weibo still tend to be stigmatized.It is worth noting that this "stigma" has a new characteristic in the new period,that is,from the "moral quality" stigma to the "identity" stigma.The elderly in Sina Weibo's old news reports often appear as a weak person who is physically weak,disease-ridden,and mentally empty,which to some extent caters to the society's "old people are useless" Stereotypes of traditional ideas.At the same time,different types of media construct different images of the elderly,par media repre en ed b he People Dail end o build a positive image of the elderly,commercial self-media represented by surging news and headlines is relatively negative in the construction of the image of the elderly.The core of the concept of active ageing is "positive",which requires the society to take an active view of the elderly and the elderly to live an active life.The Media reports not only affect the self-perception of the elderly,but also affect the perception and perception of the elderly in other groups in the society.However,according to the research results of this article,the construction of the network image of the elderly in the current age does not meet the requirements of the actively aging concept advocated by China.Therefore,at the end of this article,from the standpoint of a positive ageing perspective,from the perspective of media reporting frameworks and media practitioners to propose countermeasures and suggestions for building a positive and positive media image of the elderly Keep pace with the times...
