At present,China has entered the aging population of society.The proportion of the elderly population to the total population of society has increased year by year.Population aging has become the basic national conditions of our country.Actively dealing with the aging population is not only related to the healthy living of the elderly groups,but also related to the stability and development of the harmonious society.The reports of network media on the current situation of elderly groups' media image could help us to better understand the persent law of media image of the elderly groups as well as the law of old age propagation.Therefore,this paper chooses the People's Net,which is the authoritative news website of the nation as the sample to study the image of the elderly groups.Based on the reports of People's Net about the elderly groups in 2015 and 2016,this paper uses the research methods such as content analysis and case analysis to sort out the reporting framework and the attribute information of the reported object,study the orientation and causes of the media image of the elderly groups in People's Net and analyze the media image of the elderly group presented by People's Net.This paper discusses the factors that affect the media image of the elderly groups in People's Net and puts forward some suggestions on how to enhance the media image of the elderly groups.This paper is divided into four parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly elaborated the research background,the significance,the research theory,the research summary,the research mentality,the research method and the innovations.The second part is the media image research design and report analysis of the elderly groups in People's Net.The third part is based on the statistical analysis of the second chapter,analyzing the media image of the elderly group in the People's Net,not only analyzing the overall image and the typical image,but also summarizing the reasons for the appearance of these image.The fouth part is the thinking and suggestion of the media image of the elderly groups in People's Net.Combining with the analysis of the previous chapters,thispaper sums up the influential factors of the media image of the elderly groups,namely,the aging policy,the social culture and the media itself.At the end of this paper,the author puts forward the ideas of how to improve the media image of the elderly groups in People's Net: rich the genre of the elderly groups' reports and improve the reporting methods of the elderly groups;emphasis on interactive comments section and enhance the voice of the elderly groups;narrow the gap with the reality of the image and balance the elderly reported content;gather multimedia reporting strength and achieve a comprehensive spread effect.
