Nowadays,globalization and networking have profoundly affected the development of the world.China needs to strengthen its capacity for international communication and enhance mutual understanding with the rest of the world,so as to establish a good national image and enhance China's international voice.Hence,accurate selection and stratification of target countries for China's international communication has important theoretical and practical value.This paper explores the selection of target countries for China's stratified international communication,builds model and applies them to the target country selection to provide theoretical guidance for China's international communication by ensuring a rapid and further development.National interest,Global influence and national distance are the three dimensional indicators for assessing China's target countries for stratified international communication.The importance of these three dimensions in turn is national interest,national distance and global influence.The spatial Cartesian coordinate model for the selection of target countries for China's stratified international communication takes three dimensions as three coordinate axes and the median value of sample evaluation results as the origin.By calculating the three-dimensional values,the target countries will be evenly distributed in all quadrants,and then according to the overall distribution,regional distribution and individual distribution of the target countries in the quadrants,the target countries will be divided into different levels according to the priority order in international communication.According to the spatial Cartesian coordinate model,the selected 25 target countries are divided into three levels.The first level target countries include India,Italy,Russia,Brazil,Canada,France,Germany,Japan,the Netherlands,Spain,Britain,the United States.The second level target countries include Pakistan,Egypt,Greece,Indonesia,Malaysia,South Africa,Thailand,Turkey,Korea,Mexico.The third level target countries include Australia,Chile,Sweden.The first level target countries are mainly national interest-oriented,and giving preference to these countries is the fundamental character of the target country selection for China's stratified international communication.The second level target countries are mainly national distance-oriented,and focusing on these countries is a key character of the target country selection for China's stratified international communication.The third level target countries have no obvious oriention,and selectively paying attention to those countries according to different national strategies is a general character of the target country selection for China's stratified international communication.Moreover,based on the levels of different target countries,measures such as optimizing allocation of resources,enhancing collaboration of multi-subjects and guiding needs of different countries for China's stratified international communication should be taken.
