For the foreign audience and English displays the strong trend both in the population quantity and the application scope, the development of English news websites should be the focus to international communication.According to their prestige and the current capacity statistics, the six national English news websites are the most important part of our international communication. Nevertheless, according to statistics of Alexa website, the author analyses the user's information of English news websites media, and calculates its website value. Comparing to the mass media of developed countries, shortcomings in developing country's image have been revealed in domestic English news websites. Based on the news that have been reported on domestic English news websites, this dissertation means to establish new strategies, which take account of news reporting and cultural communication in national image building.On news reporting, effective news reporting in a certain country, especially in precipitating incidents and global media events, is capable of pushing forward the establishment of a positive national image. In China, mass media talks few about precipitating incidents, and it leaves negative influences to the world. Situations have been changed since Wenchuan earthquake and 2008 Beijing Olympic Games came in, through which English news websites reported a lot. All these have proved that domestic news reporting had made great progress in building a positive national image, accordingly. Referring to cultural communication, English news websites employs to diminish cultural, geographical and racial chasm with cultural proximity in developing a positive national image. Thus, domestic English network media should take full advantage of the country's visual image, video materials, national statements and so soon to fulfill the purpose.
