The Investigation Report On The Public Service Function Of City TV Station

As an important part of the construction of the public service system for radio and television in our country,the promotion and improvement of public service function of television media have great effects on overall social service system,as well as city television station to the implementation of the public service function.City television is a government communication agency with Chinese characteristics,carrying features of government agency as well as great authority and credibility within its coverage.It is persuasive to its target group and it contributes to the close connection between the public and the government.It also plays an important role in the daily message reception of the public.Therefore,to improve the public service of city television station,it requires exploration to the specific performance of public service,the disadvantages and the reasons behind it.The purpose of this investigation is to explore the specific problems and reasons behind the performance of public service functions of city TV stations.Using the methods of participatory observation,in-depth interview,content analysis and case analysis,taking the B city TV station as the case study object,this paper probes into and finds out the performance of its public service function and the existing problems,and analyzes the causes of the deficiency in the performance of the public service function of B city TV station.Through investigation and analysis,this paper firstly defined the concept of public service and public service function of television,clarified the main contents of public service function of city TV stations,sorted out the significance of the realization of public service function of city TV stations,and analyzes the important significance of public service function of city TV station.Secondly,it makes clear the performance and significance of the public service function of B city TV station,and enumerates a series of problems in the performance of its public service from four aspects:service content,service mode,supervision by public opinion,and media morality.Finally,the paper analyzes the reasons of the performance problems from the aspects of government policy,management system,human resources,media impact and so on.
