In omnimedia era,the Chinese city television stations do not only face marketcompetition from new media, but also face eating of CCTV and provincial TV. InChina, more than210city television stations have1.37billion Chinese audience, buttheir market share is very small. The biggest crisis of the city television stations ishow to survive. They once made significant contribution for the cause of China’sbroadcasting and television and they created a certain authority and won a largenumber of audience. But in21stcentury, the city television stations began to godownhill."Survival of the fittest" is the general rule of market economy, the city televisionstations how to successfully break through and win audience, and achieve win-winsituation of social and economic benefits.Because the Chinese city television stationhas its particularity, so it should be carried out reform and innovation under theexisting system.China’s land area and population are large, and regional culture form, economicsituation and the audience characteristics are different.Therefore the reform of the citytelevision station should also be different. According to the market rule,Establishing regional colorful city TV,Regional alliance and multimedia fusion’s cityTV and TV or channel for farmers. According to social attributes of TV and China’sspecific national conditions, regional public television can be established.
