At present,China's publishing industry is facing a series of severe challenges: the increasing diversification of readers' needs,the impact of emerging media on the market share of traditional paper publications,and the gradual weakening of the country's protection policy for the publishing industry,etc.To improve the efficiency of publishing to adapt to the fierce market competition.As the methods and theories of project management,especially project progress management,are widely used in all walks of life,project progress management is introduced into the book publishing industry,and a scientific and reasonable book publishing project progress plan is prepared by project management methods to dynamically monitor publishing projects.During the operation process,discovering the deviation of progress and analyzing the reasons in time and taking effective measures will optimize the publishing process,improve the efficiency of book production,and improve the fine management level of the publishing organization.This thesis makes an in-depth study on the application of project schedule management theory,methods and tools in the book publishing industry.The main research contents are as follows:(1)Based on the theory of project schedule management and the methods and tools of project schedule management,combined with the relevant knowledge and actual situation in the field of book publishing,the research status of book publishing project schedule management is sorted out,and the introduction of book publishing projects is demonstrated The necessity and significance of the management method;(2)Empirical research on the case of the X Press Book Publishing Project,a national publishing fund project of Q Press.Through project planning,task activity decomposition,publishing activity sequencing,construction period estimation,planning review method to draw progress network diagrams and the use of Microsoft Project software to prepare the publication schedule plan of the series of books,the book publishing project schedule plan preparation process and General compilation method;(3)Based on the principles and methods of project schedule control,this paper identifies and analyzes the factors that affect the project schedule during the project implementation process,and then adjusts the five specific schedule controls by adjusting the logical relationship between processes and resource allocation Rectify deviations and changemeasures to ensure that the project is completed on schedule.On this basis,the general methods and countermeasures for dynamic monitoring,deviation analysis,and progress control suitable for the progress management of publishing projects are sorted out.This thesis summarizes the implementation steps for the preparation of schedule plans in book publishing projects and the effective methods and measures for publishing schedule control based on the expertise in the two areas of project progress management and book publishing activities.Introducing system methods and tools for project schedule management into publishing projects can effectively improve the overall operation and production efficiency of publishing organizations,improve the efficiency of resource allocation,and reduce resource conflicts and duplication of work.This has certain practical application value for alleviating the postponement problem that is common in the publishing industry,and also provides reference and experience for publishing organizations to implement innovation management.
