The high-speed data processing for array printer is the core technology to study array printers and also the key to improve the printing speed of array printers.In recent years,the country's emphasis on array printer technology has made great development of high-speed data processing for array printers.Array printers have attracted much attention due to their high efficiency and wide application.Therefore,the array printer high-speed data processing system as its core data processing system has great prospects for development.According to the requirement of a key research and development project "high-efficiency and wide-band piezoelectric micro-droplet jet array printer",this thesis studies the related technology of highspeed data processing system in array printer verification system,designs and implements the high-speed data processing system of array printer to meet the requirements of project.This thesis studies and analyses the technical specifications needed by array printer,compares the current mature data transmission methods.Aiming at the technical characteristics that array printer is composed of multiple unit printer heads,this thesis proposes a general scheme of high-speed data processing system for array printer based on Gigabit Ethernet.The scheme uses Gigabit Ethernet data transmission mode to realize high-speed data transmission in the system.Switches are used as data distribution interface in all unit print control modules,which improves the flexibility of splicing width expansion of print heads of array printers and maintainability of print control system.As the core of data processing in the overall scheme,the unit print control module is mainly responsible for receiving print data and control commands sent through Gigabit ethernet,parsing and processing them,and processing data to be printed into a data format that meets the requirements of the unit print head,and generating corresponding control signals and printing data transmission signals according to the control signal requirements of the unit print head,and controlling the unit print head work correctly.This thesis focuses on the hardware circuit of the unit print control module and the firmware design and implementation of data processing.The hardware circuit takes FPGA as the core,mainly consists of Gigabit Ethernet module,DDR3 storage module and signal output interface.On the basis of the design of hardware circuit,this thesis designs and implements the firmware program in the FPGA by studying and analyzing the printing data format and control signal needed by the printing head which includes making the specific function modules of the high-speed data processing system work correctly and realize the high-speed data transmission and high-speed processing of the system.The simulation test of hardware circuit and firmware program shows that all modules of the designed system work normally,generate the required control signals and print data,and control print head work.Due to the complexity of high-speed data processing system and hardware circuit design for array printer,the system has some limitations on the expansion of unit printing module and further improvement of data processing speed.Therefore,how to further improve the system scalability and data processing rate is still a trend of future development of array printer.
