Having many characteristics like precise printing ability, fast speed and high load, laser printer is used more and more widely in offices and houses. With the continuous improvement of embedded technology, FPGA is popularly used in the field of logical control. The logical control system of laser printer, whose core is the FPGA chip, is one of the important developing directions of the future printer control system.Based on the in-depth research of the laser printer control system, this thesis combines with the characteristics of FPGA to rationally design and optimize the modules of the system and then implements the high-speed laser printer logical control system which is founded on FPGA. This thesis consists of the following parts:1. After studying and analyzing the current developing situation of laser printers both domestically and internationally, the logical control system model of the high-speed laser printer based on the P'PGA technology is introduced.2. Aimed at improving the printing speed of the printer system as well as increasing the system integration and system performance, the high-speed laser printer logical control system is designed and implemented using the chip EP2C35F484C8 of FPGA as developing device.3. Following the study and analysis of SDRAM, the SDRAM read and write controller has been designed and implemented.4. The Eng_IIC module based on the IIC protocol has been proposed after the study and analysis of the IIC bus technology.5. By using the Verilog hardware description language to develop under the Quartus II 6.0 software platform, simulation and debug has been made to test the logical control system. The design and implementation of the laser printer logical control system software have been completed successfully.The laser printer logical control system, which this thesis designs, has performed the printing test under the system hardware platform. The color printing speed reaches 40 papers per minute, which validates the planning target of fast-speed printing in the hardware. It also provides a new solution to the high-speed laser printer logical control.
