Analysis On The Application Of Immersion Interview In Nonfiction Writing My Chinese And Western Life-Years Of Study With Parents

The concept of "non-fiction writing" originated in the United States in the 1960 s.It is a writing mode opposite to "fiction".Nonfiction writing takes "truth" as the first criterion,that is,the content narrated must be true and verifiable,but the writing means can adopt literary means.Non-fiction writing does not appear directly in the readers' vision,but has undergone a variety of literary forms.It can be said that with the development of society,non-fiction writing has grown in connotation and finally formed a unique way of writing in accordance with the trend.Through the analysis and exploration of the existing nonfiction works and the interviews with the writers,this paper finds that immersion interview is an indispensable form of interview in a series of excellent nonfiction works such as a black man like me,going home and the death of a weightlifting champion.At the same time,it is found that immersion interview is a form of interview that integrates multiple interview strategies,such as interpenetration with face-to-face interview.To some extent,immersion interview is also the application of anthropological fieldwork in nonfiction writing.After analyzing the specific application form of immersion interview in writing,it is concluded that immersion interview has irreplaceable importance in non-fiction writing.As a special interview form in nonfiction writing,immersion interview concerns the credibility of the whole nonfiction writing.Immersion interviews are both the focus and the difficulty of nonfiction writing.To sum up,after theoretical analysis of immersion interview,this book,my Chinese and western life--years of studying with my parents,USES immersion interview to experience the applicable situation of immersion interview in practice.Through practice,it is found that immersion interview,as a special interview form in non-fiction writing,plays a crucial role in determining non-fiction writing.It is the only way for the writer to understand the whole appearance of things,and also a bridge between the reader and the writer.Therefore,the practical application and analysis of immersion interview in nonfiction writing are carried out in order to achieve better development of nonfiction writing.
