With the deepening of China's reform and opening up,the changes that have taken place in the period of social transformation have made our country a rich place for foreign journalists to perform "non-fictional writing." When a journalist based in China,represented by Peter Hessler,came to China,ordinary people at the bottom created a series of non-fictional works that were wellreceived and praised at home and abroad.While China understands the window,it also gives domestic readers an additional perspective to understand the motherland.Compared with the non-fictional works of the same period in China,the response from non-fictional works on the theme of ordinary Chinese people's lives caused by foreigners is even greater.Therefore,the author believes that it is possible to conduct corresponding research and analysis on the non-fictional work "China Trilogy" which has caused a great response.The full text is divided into four parts.In the first part,the author will explain the background of the topic of the thesis,the definition of "non-fiction writing",the topic selection and significance,and the research theory.Thisarticle will analyze the personal profile of the author of "China Documentary Trilogy" Peter Hessler and the necessity of analyzing "China Documentary Trilogy",and explain the reason and feasibility of the topic selection.In the third part,the author will use inductive deduction,content analysis and case analysis to analyze the five aspects of the work: "narrator","narrative focus","narrative time","narrative structure" and "narrative strategy".The narrative features and experience of the "China Trilogy" are presented.In the fourth part,the author will put forward corresponding suggestions and solutions based on the narrative experience of the "China Documentary Trilogy" and the specific status of China's current "non-fiction writing" development.
