With the rapid development of the information technology industry,more and more companies are adopting methods of outsourcing entire or parts of their information technology work,to obtain more advanced technology while reducing investment costs.So,Software Outsourcing industry is born at the right moment,especially for multinational software outsourcing project,the relationship between project stakeholders is getting more complicated,the project processes and steps are increasing,and the cross-border communication is difficult.So,the multinational software outsourcing project might often face the difficulty of delay delivery behind schedule.Ultimately,it will lead to the reduction of the outsourcer's trust for the contractor and will impact the contractor company's performance.The paper takes the context of the schedule management of software outsourcing project D within Dalian Company A,teases out the issues disclosed from the practical work of project D,and develop rigorous analysis from the four perspectives: organization structure,process management,culture diversity and project schedule planning development capability.Under the direction of the relevant theory of schedule management of software outsourcing projects,it takes the foundational process of software project schedule management as reference,utilizes the work breakdown structure technology,the tools of Gantt chart,milestone,network topology,and key chain to develop an improvement plan for schedule management of project D.For sake of the schedule management plan smooth implementation,it has finalized the implementation methodology,countermeasures for any deviation,regarding different measures,it also complete comparison in terms of applicable conditions and disadvantages,to screen the most appropriate means,and propose a method of how to measure the implementation consequence,in order to verify the accuracy of progress management measures selection.The feasible practical solutions will be raised,according to the method that theory combining with practice and disclosure issues,so it will guarantee that the project in the future will be delivered timely and in good shape.Finally,I hope this paper will be beneficial and bring referential value to study Software project schedule management,especially for the research on the progress management of software outsourcing projects and the practical implementation.
