Analysis On The Content Elements Of Data Management Plan Of University Libraries In China And Its Application

We live in the digital information age,and everyday life is affected by data,which brings new challenges and hopes to the research community.The rise of data-intensive research paradigms has led to a trend of scientific growth in scientific data.The scientific community is taking action to promote an open research culture that uses more effective means to share,discover,acquire and reuse scientific data.The emergence of new scientific data management,access and analysis tools,and the transformation of research policies have made the full acquisition and efficient management of scientific research data gradually become one of the key factors affecting the smooth progress of scientific research projects.When managing scientific data,it is necessary not only to ensure the quality and relevance of the data,but also to enhance the open access to scientific research data.To achieve this goal,there is an urgent need to improve traditional scientific data management methods and propose new methods of high quality,durability,relevance,openness and reusability.In May 2018,SPARC Europe(European Academic Publishing and Academic Resources Alliance)and the International Digital Monitoring Center(DCC)jointly released the "Open Data Driver Research Report" clearly stated that the data management plan is to promote openness.The second major factor in data-driven development is that data management planning services are critical.However,by reading relevant domestic literature,there are few studies on data management plans in China,and these studies are more concerned with the research and analysis of data management plan services carried out by foreign universities,but for domestic university researchers and libraries.Staff needs,and the exploration of the content elements of the data management plan is almost zero.This paper firstly analyzes the data management plan documents developed by American university libraries,including the main research funding agency data management plan documents,the data management plan documents given by the library,and the data submitted by university researchers in the online data management software DMPTool.Manage planning documents and extract comprehensive data management plan elements.Secondly,as a guide to clarify the elements of the domestic data management plan,and adjust the data management plan elements in combination with the questionnaire data of university researchers and university library staff.Finally,according to the explicit subject needs,the content management model of the data management plan suitable for the needs of domestic university libraries is constructed,and the mechanism of the content elements of each dimension is analyzed.At the same time,aiming at the status quo of the research support services of the two domestic first-class university libraries,the specific application of the content elements of the data management plan is put forward,which provides reference for improving the level of scientific research services in China.This paper is divided into six chapters from the structure,including the introduction,the research status and theoretical basis at home and abroad,the construction of the content element model of the data management plan,the mechanism of the various dimensions of the data management plan,the application research,summary and outlook of the content elements of the data management plan.The first chapter is the introduction.This chapter expounds the research background,research significance,research ideas and research methods of this research,and explains the research innovation points.The second chapter is the research status and theoretical basis.Through reading related literatures at home and abroad,the author summarizes domestic and foreign research hotspots,and explains scientific data,scientific data sharing services,and data management planning services,providing theoretical basis for the research.And the necessity of carrying out data management plan service for university libraries is discussed from three aspects.The third chapter is the construction of the content element model of the data management plan.This paper firstly uses the combination of the network survey method and the questionnaire survey method to extract the content elements of the data management plan.The network research mainly includes two aspects: one is the data management plan document formulated by the “required party” of the data management plan,including the United States.Research data management plan documents for funding agencies and university libraries;on the other hand,data management plan documents for “submissions” of data management plans,mainly researching online data management software DMPTool,scientific data management submitted by university researchers Planning documentation.Through the extraction of the data management plan document data of two aspects,the content and elements of the scientific data management plan are guaranteed to be comprehensive and rich,and then the content management hypothesis model of the data management plan is constructed.Questionnaires are issued for university service personnel and university researchers to further adjust and improve the content elements of the data management plan,and use the exploratory factor to correct and test the data management plan content factor hypothesis model,and finally obtain reasonable data management plan content elements model.The fourth chapter is the mechanism of the various dimensions of the data management plan.This chapter is based on the content element model of the data management plan that has been constructed in Chapter 3,and discusses the mechanism of the content elements in each dimension.The fifth chapter is the application research of the content elements of the data management plan.This chapter is based on the current research contents of university library in China,and combines the influencing factors of university researchers and library librarians to carry out scientific data management plan.It analyzes the application of content elements of data management plan and is targeted.Several quality optimization paths for data management plan services of university libraries are proposed.The sixth chapter is the summary and outlook.Summarize the content element model and the action mechanism of the content elements of the data management plan,explain the inadequacies of this research,and point out the future research direction.
