With the development of semiconductor technology and the innovation of missile technology,the international military war has been intensified.Mechanical radars are replaced by phased array radars,and the beam steering system is the most important part of the phased array radar.However,it can still be improved in system functions and performance.A system of phased array radars with beam control which based on PowerPC professor has been proposed.This system is aimed at the practical application requirements of large phased array radars.Combining with the common implementation methods,the calculation method of beam-code is decomposed,and a distributed beam steering system implementation scheme combining software and hardware calculations is proposed.The overall realization of the hardware circuit and software flow design,programming and debugging is completed.The hardware part includes the data transmission relationship,power supply,and support circuit.The software part includes the beam steering software,bootloader,and BSP.The beam steering software implements the coordinate transformation algorithm and the calculation of the wave control code matrix code,the trigonometric function is calculated by look-up table.The bootloader implements the initialization,and the BSP implements the driver of transmission interface.In addition,this thesis also carries on the module verification and the angle simulation.The result shows that the SPI rate can reach 10 MHz.The SCI baud rate is 115200 bps in test mode with 3.125 Mbps in work mode.This system output 144~1024 beam-code correctly and the beam steering angle error is less than 0.01078°in the MATLAB simulation platform.The design of beam steering system based on PowerPC provides a new scheme for the phased array radar beam steering system.It's a modularized system,which has practical application value and research significance.
