Study On The Farewell Words Of Traditional Newspaper Organizations In The Perspective Of Critical Discourse Analysis

With the development of mobile Internet and the change of media ecological environment,the pressure of traditional media is increasing,many newspapers have been closed,even some famous one.This study analyzed the contents of 40 discontinued words(or to readers)published in the last issue of newspapers from 2009 to 2019 as samples.According to the analysis,the content of these newspapers mainly includes four sub-frameworks:goodbye gratitude,explaining the factors affecting its withdrawal,indicating the specific path of its withdrawal,and shaping news authority.Combined with Fairclough's critical discourse analysis theory,the author explores the text from three dimensions of text practice,discourse practice and social practice,and analyzes how traditional newspaper organizations construct the fact of why and how they quit.What are the factors that influence its withdrawal?And combined with the relevant knowledge of media ecology to analyze the necessity and importance of its withdrawal?The rationality of the exit route is revealed by the related knowledge of media management.This paper also analyzes what kind of discourse these statements constitute the legitimacy of the discourse,and what are the social implications behind it?How to shape the news authority of the traditional media through the closure words?The study finds that the change of the environment inside and outside the media has boosted the exit of the media.The progress of politics,economy,culture and science and technology accelerates the decline of traditional media.The shortage of audience resources and human resources has reduced the space for the development of traditional media.The demand of its own transformation accelerates the process of the withdrawal of paper media.These are the words constructed by traditional newspaper organizations themselves when they say why they quit.As for the choice of the exit route,traditional newspaper organizations talk about such aspects as reconstructing the combination and reducing the edition,switching to new platforms and developing new formats.Through further research,it is found that news organizations build a collective memory through moral legitimacy and historical legitimacy,reconstruct their own social value,and establish the news authority of traditional media.
