Study On Content Characteristics Of News Short Videos In Professional User Generated Content (PUGC) Production Mode

Short videos are undoubtedly one of the most popular topics in the field of content produc-tion in recent years.From the beginning of 2013 to its growth and outbreak in 2016,Short videos ushers in its best development period.The reasons for this include the advance of technology---the popularity of smart phones and 4G networks,which breaks the time and space constraints of video consumption;the change in people's content consumption habits---fragmentation and fast pace,which means that the shortest amount of time is used to obtain the maximum amount of information.As the most active content producer in the information market,the news media have produced news short videos that adapts to the Internet era.The research focus of this paper is Pear Video.The global filming system and professional editorial team built by Pear Video are the best combination of UGC(User Generated Con-tent)and PGC(Professional Generated Content),thus making the contents of its videos merge with both the breadth of content and the value of news dissemination.The theoreti-cal framework used in this paper is the Framing Theory.The theories involved are the basic theory of audiovisual language and the theory of news narratology.The research is mainly carried out by using content analysis and data analysis.The sample is the weekly bonus list of the Pear Video official,which is selected from January 1,2018 to December 31,2018.In the year of 2018,Pear Video released 39 lists,with a total of 551 videos as the overall sample.The content analysis of the research sample,covering the report theme,the narrative method,the general standard of news short videos,and the comparison to and analysis of traditional TV news video,presents the content characteristics of the most pop-ular news short videos.Finally,the development dilemma of information short videos in PUGC production mode is discussed.The problem of over-reliance on social platform and low user stickiness,the corresponding optimization strategy is given,to provide inspiration for content production and the trend of news short videos development in the future.
