Human society has gone through four times:hunting and fishing era,agricultural age,industrial age,and the information age.In the information age,productivity has been greatly developed.Material has been increasingly enriched,and information resources has become an important resource in promoting the progress of human society.Of course,there are also some social problems in the information age,such as the digital divide.Library's digital divide is the digital divide analyzed from the library perspective.Based on educational equity and the Matthew effect,the author carried out empirical research of library's digital divide.I hope that through practical research to identify problems,and develop some strategies to deal with the problems.This paper includes the following contents:In first chapter,the introduction.This chapter mainly introduces the research background and significance,research status at home and abroad,research purposes,ideas and research methods.In second chapter,the overview to the digital divide between University Library is related.This chapter provides some concepts and theory related to the digital divide between libraries,including:library of digital divide,digital divide,digital divide measurement,electronic resources and digital reference and so on.There are two main theories:first,education equity theory;second,the theory of the Matthew effect.In third chapter,analysis of the current situation of the digital divide between university libraries is given.This chapter analyses current situation related to the digital divide and the library's digital divide.Current situation of the digital divide mainly consists of three levels:between countries,between regions,between groups of people.Through the library's current situation of the digital divide between Combs found that this gap does exist,and related problems have not they get people's attention,which inspired the author to research this issue.In fourth chapter,Hefei University Library's digital divide survey is designed.This chapter consists of three parts:survey content,respondents,survey methodology.First of all,based on the need to set content.Secondly,determine the scope of the investigation.Finally,according to different surveys to select different methods of investigation.In fifth chapter,Hefei University Library's digital divide surveys.This chapter consists of three components:the performance of the access channel,performance data using,performance knowledge gap.Through practical investigations to obtain data,and then compare the data obtained,and identify problems.In sixth chapter,it analysis the causes of the digital divide between university libraries.Analysis of the causes for the problems found by the survey,so that next better develop solutions.In seventh chapter,it gives the bridging solutions to the digital divide between university libraries.Strategies should be practical and realistic.Problems found above,this section is targeted to developing solutions from different levels.Three levels have been divided:access channel level,channel level,knowledge gap.In eighth chapter,the conclusion.This part is the library's digital divide,a brief summary of empirical studies,identified certain deficiencies in the study and look forward to the future.
