With China's entry into an aging society,the number of elderly groups in China has increased year by year,and enriching the spiritual and cultural life of the elderly has gradually attracted extensive attention of the country.The Museum takes the elderly audience as the object of study,which is not only in response to the call of the state,but also a necessary measure to classify different types of museum audiences and improve the work of the museum.This paper is divided into six parts.The first part is the introduction,which briefly summarizes the research status,research content,research purpose and significance,as well as research methods.The second part introduces the current situation of the aging society in our country and the importance that our country attaches to the spiritual and cultural life of the elderly;combs the characteristics and causes of the middle-aged and elderly audience in different types of museums;and discusses the relationship between museums and the lifelong learning of the elderly audience.The third part introduces the particularity of the elderly audience due to age,experience and physical condition,resulting in visual fatigue and physiological fatigue.And explain,guide and rent wheelchair service is not in place and other elderly groups unique problems.In addition,most museums still have the phenomenon of lack of specialized educational activities for the elderly audience,which is also the content of the museum's research on the elderly audience.The fourth part discusses the solutions to these problems: through the improvement of Museum exhibition design,improve the visual fatigue and physical fatigue of the elderly audience.From the service point of view,we should set up a conspicuous guide logo and guide service to improve the visitor experience of the elderly audience.On the premise of drawing lessons from the practice of old-age audience education in museums of western countries and basing on the current situation of our country,we should actively carry out the old-age audience education activities in museums of our country.The fifth part studies the contents of the museum visited by the elderly audience and other family members,explores the opportunities and challenges brought to the museum by the elderly audience and family audience,and briefly discusses the future development of the museum as a lifelong learning classroom.The sixth part is the conclusion of the article.The innovative part of this paper is based on the characteristics of the museum's elderly audience,which is a special group,and carries out systematic research and analysis.Based on the successful experience of foreign countries and the actual situation in China,this paper studies how toimprove and improve the education and service of the museum's elderly audience from the specific problems.
