A Preliminary Study On The Demand Of Elderly Visitors In Museums

As non-profit cultural service institution,museums need to pay attention to elderly audiences.Under the background of China's aging society,the museum takes the elderly audience as the research object,which is not only the practice of the museum actively participating in solving the aging problem,but also the necessary measures for the museum to carry out the focus research.Based on field investigation of the proceeds of the first-hand materials,this paper adopted advance experience and innovative during the research period,at the same time,this paper also adopted the questionnaire distribution method of question-and-answer of investigators with semi-structured interview,combined with the constructivism theory of George E.Hein museum and the relevant research theories of domestic and foreign audience demands,analysed the basic personal information profile,visiting behavior and visiting demand of the middle-aged and old audiences in Inner Mongolia museum,mainly discussed the material and spiritual cultural needs of the elderly visitors in different stages and different Spaces,and gives some reasons and suggestions.
