Young children are the best object of early literacy training,who have a strong desire for exploration,rapid language development.And they are easy to form the ability of learning and solid reading foundation.Therefore,it is not only a necessary condition for individuals to achieve academic success,but also an important part of the national reading strategy for all.Public libraries are the main places for people to read,which provide free,interactive and community-based learning opportunities for the development of early literacy of young children.By the investigating,this study finds that there are abundant studies on the early literacy training of young children at home and abroad,but few studies are limited in the field of public libraries.Therefore,based on the analysis of the cases of early literacy services in public libraries in Australia,the United States,Canada and Hangzhou,this study constructs the early literacy service mode of young children in public libraries,which can provide enlightenment for future practice.This study consists of six parts,the specific arrangement is as follows:The first part discusses the background and the significance of the study,and it uses the literature survey method to sort out the domestic and foreign literature on the training of early literacy in public libraries,and analyzes the domestic and foreign literature of early literacy services.The second part defines the concepts of the early literacy and young children,and interprets the historical background of the early literacy,and summarizes the elements of the early literacy into seven aspects: phonetic awareness,printing awareness,letter awareness,vocabulary,background knowledge,understanding ability and narrative skills,and carries out research on young children from four aspects: cognitive development,language development,psychological and behavioral characteristics.The third part uses the method of network survey,investigates the cases of early literacy services for young children in public libraries at home and abroad,analyzes the service content and summarizes the service characteristics.The fourth part puts forward the construction principles with the targeted,cooperative and equitable services according to the content and characteristics of the early literacy services,and constructs the early literacy service mode of young children in public libraries from four aspects of resource layer construction,space layer construction,service layer construction and management layer construction.The fifth part points out that the early literacy services for young children in public libraries should strengthen the promotion and publicity,actively strive for partners,pay attention to the transformation of public library space,use the segmented foster mode actively,teach parents the methods of early literacy cultivation,build the core service team,pay attention to the concept of equalization service,timely feedback and effective rectification,etc.The sixth part summarizes the research results,points out the shortcomings of the research,and puts forward the future prospects.
