Research On The Media Construction Of Gay's Wife Image

Homosexuality research has become common practice,but very few studies with gay men's wives.With a huge number of gay's wives in China,which has bee estimated at 10 million or more,their social identity is occult and dispersive,and the media has become the main channel through which the audience can recognize and construct the image of gay's wife.With the continuous development of social civilization and the gradual formation of a multicultural society and a risky mobile society,the general public should re-examine images of sub-cultural groups such as homosexuals and gay's wives in an objective and tolerant perspective.At present,the study of the gay's wives in the academic circles concentrates on the field of medicine,law and sociology,and there is little about communication studies.Therefore,this article pioneered the study of the gay's wife with the perspective of media sociology and explored the image of the gay's wife constructed by paper media through content analysis.This article studies the media construction of the image of gay's wife with three dimensions.The first research question is "what is the image of the gay's wife?" In order to objectively and intuitively show the image of the gay's wife,this article adopts the method of content analysis and selects 104 texts whose titles include "gay,s wife'" from the "Du xiu database”.And the paper using media presentation,portrait of gay's wife,identity of gay's wife adaptation/confrontation to analyze the whole sample by SPSS data analysis.The research shows that the image of the gay's wife as the media construct mainly focuses on the four aspects of "deceived person without sexual love marriage","powerless person with identity revolt","heavy dependent person of media function" and "weakened non-principal partisan wife".In addition,the media mainly use the four frameworks of "the framework of the issues,the framework of the protest,the framework of the responsibility attribution,the legal system and the protection of the rights and interests" to cover the issue of the gay's wife.The second research question is:"Is there any change in the tolerance of the gay's wife?" History is the best summary,and social tolerance is one of the criteria for measuring social civilization.Media tolerance is a measure of the media development,in the image construction of the gay's wife,the media should pay attention to the respect of the gay's wife,multiple coexistence and humane care.This article defines the media tolerance from the aspects of reporting attention,reporting balance and guiding the solution of the path.The research shows that on the time variables and spatial variables,the media coverage and image construction have migrated to effectively realize the diversification and balance of the issues,and to guide the solution to the self-help and legal protection of rights protection.It embodies the media tolerance of constructing the image of the gay's wife.The third research question is:" Why the media constructs the image of the gay's wife,and what the media should reflect?" At present,with gay's wife still subject to the isolation of the mainstream culture,the media has become the main revealing territory with gay's wife,and even media coverage to a large extent determines the audience's subjective image of the gay's wife.There are three reasons for the construction of the media:the absence and abandonment of the right of gay's wives under the oppression of culture,the media coverage under the stereotype,and the negative news preferences driven by the commercial interests.In the light of the inadequacies of the media in the process of news production,this paper puts forward objective reflection,balanced coverage and diversified reporting reflection,humane care and social responsibility reflection under the news professionalism to promote the media's effective dissemination practice in the image construction of the gay's wife.The media as the largest supplier of social information,the social scene which constructs will affect the audience's cognition.In the game between multiple rights and interests,the media should stick to the responsibility of the media so that sub-cultural groups such as gay's wives and the public form a good interaction and promote an effective solution to social problems.
