The academic community is increasingly concerned about the issue of interdisciplinary research. Many researchers believe that interdisciplinary research plays a key role in scientific research and has produced many groundbreaking scientific discoveries. To study the interdisciplinary research intensity andits relationship with academic influence,This article takes the 2013 information science and library science papers and their affiliated journals in the Web of Science database as the research object.using the Brillouin index to measure the interdisciplinary research intensity of papers, each paper are separately calculated the Brillouin index,3369 information science and library science papers in 2013,the highest valueof the Brillouin Index was 1.2539,the lowest value was 0.0207,and the average value was 0.7491.Firstly,the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was performed on the Brillouin index and the cited frequency of the papers. The results showed that neither was normally distributed(P=0.000),secondly,the paper Brillouin index and cited frequency of Spearman rank correlation test, the results show that the correlation coefficient between them was statistically significant(r=0.628,P=0.000),The papers are divided into four groups in descending order according to the Brillouin index: the first group(including 558 papers of Brillouin index greater than and equal to 1),the second group(including 1159 papersof the Brillouin index greater than or equal to 0.8 and less than 1),the third group(including 1010 papers of the Brillouin index greater than or equal to 0.5 and less than 0.8),the fourth group(including 642 papersof the Brillouin index is less than 0.5),The kruskal-wallis test of multiple independent samples in four sets of papers showed that the difference of citation frequency between the four groups was statistically significant(?2=516.96,P=0.000),as can be seen from the?2 value, the difference in frequency cited between the first group and the fourth group is the largest(?2=168.13,P=0.000),the difference between the first and the fourth groupis second.(?2=68.81,P=0.000),the difference between the second and the third group is the smallest(?2=23.89,P=0.000).In addition,a statistical analysis was conducted on the journals to which the papers belong,75 information science and library science journals were selected. Each journal contains the Brillouin index average of all papers as the Brillouin index of the journal, using the Brillouin index of journal to measure the interdisciplinary research intensity. The results showed that the Brillouin index of the INFORM TECHNOL PEOPL journal was 0.8621,which was the highest, the Brillouin index of the HEALTH INFO LIBR J journal was 0.3522,which was the lowest. It is indicated that the interdisciplinary research intensity of the INFORM TECHNOL PEOPL journal is the highest, and the interdisciplinary research intensity of HEALTH INFO LIBR J is the lowest. In addition, the Brillouin index of the journal and several other periodical evaluation indexes were used to carry out the Spearman rank correlation test, the results showed that the Brillouin index and impact factor for five years most relevant(r=0.416,P=0.000),the Brillouin index has the lowest correlation with the characteristic factors(r=0.357,P=0.000),the Brillouin index and total cites, impact factor, article influence score and other influencing factors were positively correlated, there was no statistically significant correlation between the Brillouin index of the journal and the immediacy index of 2015(r=0.215,P=0.063)and 2013 year immediacy index(r=0.141,P=0.227).The above results suggest that the interdisciplinary research intensity of the 2013 information science and library science papers is positively correlated with academic influence;the influence of journals is weakly positive correlation with interdisciplinary research intensity.
