Research On The Image Of African People In China's Mainstream Media

Lots of research results show that the news media as a sustained run one of the important institutions of society,give play to the important role of the relay information to guide public opinion,and in the process of long-term news reports are subtly shape the ideology of the society.In the media of the western countries,the African group is often appeared as "the other",by the mainstream media of rigid shape,twist,and even marginalized.African-American community media image is one-sided.In this paper,the author focuses on the African groups working and living in China.Through the analysis of the report on the African people in the mainstream media in Guangzhou,this paper clarifies the image presented by this group in the news report and explores its image characteristics and the influencing factors behind it.There are four chapters in this paper.The first chapter analyzes the general situation of the mainstream media in Guangzhou and the frequency of this group in the mainstream media of Guangzhou and the space of subject expression.In the second chapter,through qualitative analysis,the paper explores the news frame applied by the mainstream media of Guangzhou to the image construction of African people in China.The third chapter analyzes the media image and characteristics of the African people in China.In the last chapter,according to the image of the mainstream media of Guangzhou in China,the author puts forward corresponding opinions and Suggestions from both subjective and objective factors to help local governments to better cope with the trend of world diversification,and to get along with the foreigners with the help of mainstream media and social forces.
