Research On Health Discourse In Environmental Issues

Ecological destruction and environmental pollution have become the global environmental problems.the industrialization process of China in the past 30 years has also destroyed the environment greatly,and the environmental risks caused by environmental problems have become the reality that China must face and deal with.The impacts of environmental problems on human society mainly in two aspects,firstly is hindering economic development,secondly is endangering human health.As the fact that environmental issues may threaten people's vital interests,the public is increasingly concerned about environmental issues.During the reporting of environmental issues,mass media which is the main source of information for the public,not only transmits environmental and health information,but also constructs knowledge and public's perception of the subject.Because of the visibility and avoidance of haze weather,the fog haze becomes a typical environmental problem of public concern.In this paper,the haze issue is taken as an example.By conducting content analysis with the haze events of 2017 and the haze investigation documentary with typical transmission significance under the dome and its controversy,the construction characteristics and strategies of healthy discourse in the media environment issues.The theoretical basis of this paper mainly comes from the field of environmental transmission and environmental health:the field of environmental communication,this paper mainly draws on the theory of environmental risk communication and social construction as the theoretical bases,learns from rhetorical expression,discourse production and media meaning construction as an analysis perspective;the definition of environmental health content in environmental health do good to the author to extract environmental issues in the health information.The research that investigates environmental inequality from the perspective of economics and sociology brings the author inspiration,enables the author to extract the main body of healthy discourse that the media constructs in the reporting of environmental issues.The study found that the media in the reporting of the haze was dominated by health discourse or formed a discourse system through the dialogue between health discourse and other discourses.As a kind of effective way of discourse construction,through the construction of knowledge of health risks,the media effectively causes public's concern about environmental issues,and through public guidance,on the one hand to cultivate people's conception of environmental protection,call for national action,on the other hand carry on media supervision,carry on media supervision,lead off public sentiment and supervise the government.However,the media in the process of building a health discourse,there are some problems,the first is the ambiguous technology language that the media used,that amplified the health risks;the second is the business discourse,supervision discourse and other discourse that strengthen and highlight,dilute the sources of environmental problems and the responsibility of governance;the third is the neglect of the voices of vulnerable groups,which have greater health risk than others in environmental pollution,but they are in the absence of state in environmental issues of health discourse.It is hoped that the study of this paper will provide some reference for the media to construct the discourse construction in environmental issues in the future.
