Research On The Narrative Patterns And Strategies Of The Award-winning Works In The Data Journalism Awards From The Perspective Of News Narratology

As a developing trend in data era,data journalism has attracted the continuous attention of academia and industry because of its unique advantages and has led to innovation of discovering and reporting the news.Nowadays,with the development of technology and the improvement of media professional capability,there is an obvious change in journalism that visual effects and personalized experience of readers are becoming more important.It is the data that makes complicated narration ability in journalism improved.To explore the narrative patterns and strategies of data journalism,on the one hand,can enrich the theoretical content of news narratology in the new media era,on the other hand,it also summarizes the methods and provides ideas for the further development of data journalism.The thesis is going to use literature survey method,case study method and content analysis to analyze all previous award-winning works of Data Journalism Awards from the perspective of news narratology,taking context factors into consideration and discussing narrative context,subject,words and object of these works.It will explain classic cases and summarize narrative patterns and strategies of them.According to the research,when writing a press releas with data,at present narrator can hardly control what data or techniques can be used and how readers read the report.In the multiple narrations,different subjects lead to their respective narrative process and form patterns of linearly guid,thread trigger and clue transition.Further more,under the support of artificial intelligence,independent algorithm and cross domain technology participate in the production of news works,expand the narrative perspective of news infinitely,break the logic of linear narrative in different categories of time and space,and change the conventional narrative discourse and narrative grammar of traditional journalism.In the macro narrative background,narrative blocks are nested with each other so that more and more data news reports are chosen by readers independently.Interactive and personalized news reports have achieved deeper communication effects at the level of audience's cognition,attitude and behavior.Finally,it is clear that the development of data journalism has deconstructed the traditional journalism narrative paradigm.These cracking works have provided some reference ideas and programs for the further development of accurate control of narrative context,data thinking of narrative subject,technical integration of narrative discourse and feedback utilization of narrative reception and other narrative strategies.
