Chinese is one of the modern foreign languages for Dutch middle school students and it is one of the subjects for the high school graduation exam.In accordance with the “Common European Framework of Reference for Languages:Learning,Teaching and Assessment”,Mr.Xu Tianjiu published "Chinees? 'n Makkie!"(Four volumes)in 2007?2008?2009.This study is based on the teaching objectives and teaching content,makes a specific analysis and evaluation of the language elements of the first and second volumes for the teaching material:pronunciation,Chinese characters,vocabulary,grammar and culture.The editing of " Chinees?'n Makkie! ” combined Common European Framework of Reference for Languages,"The Outline" and the Dutch students' social environment and language environment.The concept of grammar teaching;listening and speaking practice is inadequate,but the practice design;knowledge re-present rate has shown the editor's competence.This teaching material is thus worth using in the Dutch Mandarin teaching practice.This paper consists of four chapters.The first chapter is the introduction.This chapter summarizes the significance of the topic;the current situation of the Mandarin teaching research in the Netherlands,and the methodology for this paper.The second chapter is mainly about the editing background and model of "Chinees? 'n Makkie!".This part summarizes the situation of the Chinese teaching institutions and the teaching materials in the Netherlands.The introduction of the editor;editing background and the Common Reference Framework for European Languages: Learning,Teaching,Evaluation is stated in this chapter,too.Chapter 3 is "Chinees? 'n Makkie!"(1-2)'s teaching objectives;teaching content andteaching practice analyze.These factors are analyzed through phonetics,Chinese characters,vocabulary,grammar and culture.In Chapter 4,the evaluation of "Chinees? 'n Makkie!"(1-2)is been listed.This chapter summarizes the features;advantages;disadvantage of this teaching material based on the analysis and data in Chapter 3.The conclusion is this teaching material's objectives and content comply Dutch students' requirements,although the grammar and practice needs improvements.
