A after the reform and opening up, China building the relationship with more and more foreign country, especially in economic, political,cultural and educational areas. Faced with many problems in current education and examination system in our country, Chinese scholars switch to the international perspective, in order to seek ideas in reformation. The Netherlands, a country in Western Europe. The system of education and education quality, enjoy a high reputation. Since the Nobel Prize founded, the Netherlands totally has 18 people winning in the field of physics, chemistry, economy, etc. However, the Netherlands, is only about a quarter of the Shaanxi province in the area size, and its population density (about 400 people per square kilometer) is almost 2.5 times in Shaanxi province, how this small but great country can have such a education miracle? This really gets people thinking.The exam exists everywhere in the world countries. However, due to the national education system, the differences between the cultural backgrounds, economic base, national exam content and specific forms are not identical, but there is still valuable information for us. The university entrance exam is the recruitment of students for the higher education institutions test, which is the important bridge connecting the middle education and higher education. The university entrance examination is the focus in modern society and education. The Netherlands also has "the university entrance exam", referred to as the national examination (Het Eindexamen), its grade is divided into school grades (Het Schoolexamen) and central test scores (Het Centraalexamen). The problems existing in the Chinese college entrance examination in our country, through to the Dutch education system, examination system, the analysis of the college entrance examination to explore, we might be able to find a way to improve.This paper will study different sections using comparisons as follow:The first part mainly discusses the reason of the topic, analyzing the reason of comparative study about exam and the reason for the selecting the Netherlands. And points out this topic in the literature review, research ideas and research methods. The second part, based on the Dutch education background is different from China. So the comparative analysis is first between the education systems, for providing a background. The third part introduces the origin of the Dutch national examination and Chinese college entrance examination. The forth part compares Chinese college entrance examination in two countries from four aspects:the executive main body, process, scoring method, and who will take the examination. The fifth part of how the Dutch national examination and the Chinese university entrance exam will test their own mother language, comparing form the objective and requirements, the test materials and test form. The sixth part summarizes three main differences in Dutch national examination and what causes them. Finally, the seventh chapter is about the inspiration brought from the Dutch national examination and one thought about the new college entrance examination pattern.
