In recent years,in the tide of "Chinese fever" in Thailand,the enthusiasm of young people to learn Chinese has increased.Thai elementary education regards Chinese learning as an important teaching content of second language learning.With the development trend of Chinese language learning becoming younger and younger,the compilation,use and promotion of teaching materials for Chinese international education is an important part of the development of Chinese international education.This article compares the compilation concepts,textbook style,unit structure,and language elements of "I Love Chinese,Thai Elementary School Chinese Textbook 2" and "English"(Year 2)published by the People’s Education Edition,the characteristics of children’s learning of a second language and the actual situation of teaching,comparative analysis of the adaptability of this textbook for teaching Chinese as a foreign language for children,and then put forward ideas and suggestions for the compilation of the textbook for children’s Chinese as a foreign language,thereby enhancing the adaptability of the textbook to better serve the teaching practice of Chinese international education for children as a foreign language teaching material.The thesis is divided into five chapters: The first chapter is an introduction,mainly discussing the topic and significance,a review of relevant domestic and foreign literature,research objects and research methods;The second chapter compares the textbook style and unit structure of the two sets of textbooks to grasp the differences and similarities between the two textbooks as a whole;Chapter 3 compares the language elements of the two textbooks,including a comparative analysis of phonetics,vocabulary and grammar;Chapter 4 discusses the differences between the two textbooks’ teaching supporting resources,textbook exercises and cultural factors;Chapter 5 is the conclusion.Based on the comparison,suggestions are made for children’s teaching materials for teaching Chinese as a foreign language to improve the compilation of teaching materials for children’s Chinese as a foreign language.
