A Case Study On The Spiritual Comfort Of The Disabled Elderly In Rural Areas In Institutional Endowment

With the acceleration of the aging process of China's population,the problem of providing for the aged has become an important issue that cannot be ignored in China's economic and social construction.With the change of family structure and the impact of population migration,the function of family providing for the aged is constantly weakening.At the same time,institutional endowment has made great progress in China.At present,many elderly people choose to enter pension service institutions to enjoy their old age,which brings unprecedented challenges to China's pension service.Among them,the disabled elderly as a special group of the elderly,because of its physiological and psychological particularity,to the institution of care put forward a new topic.The disabled elderly in rural areas have much lower social resources and social support than the disabled elderly in urban areas,so the institutional old-age care situation of this group cannot be ignored.Based on the actual situation of D pension service institutions in County A,this study made A survey of the disabled elderly in D pension service institutions in county A,and understood the disabled elderly in D pension service institutions from an all-round and multi-angle through field investigation and interviews and observations.On the basis of the collected data,a typical disabled elderly in rural areas was selected to carry out case work,and a series of spiritual consolation services were provided to the elderly according to their actual needs,so as to improve their living conditions.In the early stage of service,collect information related to the case and establish a professional relationship with the service objects;After the assessment of needs and goals,specific intervention should be carried out according to the needs and problems of the service objects to help them establish a good relationship with others,encourage them to participate in recreational activities,and realize the emotional interaction between the elderly and their relatives.Finally,the service goal of satisfying the spiritual comfort needs of the service object is achieved,and the change of the service object is evaluated.This study advocates using the professional concept of social work and professional methods such as case work,to explore the feasibility of case work to intervene in the spiritual consolation of the disabled elderly in rural areas,and promote the innovation of the concept and method of care for the disabled elderly.Finally,some Suggestions are given to improve the level of spiritual consolation service for the disabled elderly in rural areas,so as to promote the improvement of the care mode and the further development of the institution.
