Studies On The Spiritual Care Of The Semi-Disabled Elderly In Pension Institutions By Group Work

Since entering the aging society,our country faces the pressure of supporting the aged gradually increasing.On the one hand,with the weakening of the functions of traditional pension models such as home and community pension,institutional pension is playing a more significant role.On the other hand,more and more elderly people are facing the dilemma of weakened or impaired physiological function,and the number of disabled and semi-disabled elderly people is increasing,which puts forward more detailed requirements for elderly care services.One of them is the spiritual care needs of the elderly,which must arouse the attention of the whole society.Based on this,this study is about the pension agency half disability elderly mental care,early on L within half a disability pension institutions old man questionnaires and interviews,the L endowment institutions interview managers,nursing staff and volunteers,and participatory observation,L endowment institutions pension services to collect and arrange the qualitative data,To understand the spiritual care status,needs and existing dilemmas of the semi-disabled elderly in L pension institution.The study found that there are relatively concentrated and prominent problems in mental care for the semi-disabled elderly in L nursing home:Physiological function is impaired,the cognitive deviation of self,family interaction seriously insufficient,lack of affection,social support network fault,lack of group interaction,the half-and-half disability after the old man,the measurement of geriatric depression scale found depression status,in addition,pension institutions there are ignored half a disability,mental care needs for the elderly,the problem of shortage of professionals.These problems lead to the spiritual care needs of the semi-disabled elderly can not be satisfied.According to Symsymbolic Interaction Theory and Social Support Theory,six group activities were designed and carried out in this study:breaking the ice,creating everything by hand and mind,ancient literary style,singing red songs and meeting friends by song,that thing in life,and building a tree together.In the process of carrying out group work ongoing reflection action,improve service,through professional services to help half lost to establish correct self-awareness,the old man set up self-confidence,to establish the social support network,a small scale increase interaction between groups,emotional communication,release emotions,relieve depression status,share in later life.And try to build the internal social mutual aid network,establish a long-term mechanism to realize the spiritual care of the semi-disabled elderly.Finally,in view of the specific practice of group work involving in the spiritual care of the semi-disabled elderly in pension institutions,this paper reflects on the following aspects:providing personalized services in social work,making full use of service skills,doing a good job in the preparatory work,upholding professional ethics and establishing a long-term mechanism of spiritual care,and puts forward further suggestions.In addition,the group work service in this study also has some problems such as lack of professionalism.
