In order to cultivate talents who can adapt to the current international competitive situation,the Party Central Committee and the State Council have decided to deepen the education reform in an all-round way,vigorously develop quality education,and put forward the " enhance morality and foster talents" as the fundamental goal of education at the 18 th National Congress of the CPC,so China's Ministry of Education requires all disciplines to develop their own core literacy system,and to take the core literacy system as the main line of the curriculum standards of this discipline.The Geography Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools(2017 edition)has formulated four core qualities of geography,namely,the concept of human-earth coordination,comprehensive thinking,regional cognition and geographical practice.As one of the core qualities of geography discipline,geography practice ability embodies the strong practical characteristics of geography discipline.It plays an incomparable role in training students' practice ability.At the same time,it has important practical significance to study geography practice ability.However,due to the influence of high school entrance pressure for a long time,and the fact that many geography teachers pay more attention to knowledge than practice in their teaching,as well as the backward hardware facilities in some schools,the geography practical ability has not been given enough attention by schools,teachers and students.Therefore,the cultivation of Geography practical ability has not been well implemented.In view of this phenomenon,the author hopes to investigate and study the current situation of the cultivation of high school students' geography practical ability,analyze the existing problems in the cultivation of geography practical ability,find out the cultivation strategy of high school students' geography practical ability,and test the effectiveness of the strategy through practical cases.This study is based on Marxist practical philosophy,Multiple intelligences theory,Constructivist learning theory,Pragmatism pedagogy theory,Geography teaching theory.The paper first uses the literature method to define the concept of geographical practice,and understands the current research situation at home and abroad,and then uses the questionnaire survey method and the observation method to carry on the geography teacher and some high school students of the three upper secondary schools in Anyang county.Investigation on the cultivation of geography practical ability.Through the analysis of the questionnaire,the present situation of the cultivation of geography practice of Anyang County High school students is preliminarily understood,and the existence of the cultivation of geography practice of Anyang County High school students is also found.Of some Problem Put these issues from the students,Teachers and School Three angles are summed up as follows:(1)Most students lack experience in geography practice;the ability of geography practice is weak as a whole,and they lack consciousness of geography practice.(2)Some geography teachers have insufficient understanding of the practical ability of geography,lack of opportunities to participate in teaching and research training activities,and lack of experience in carrying out geographical practice teaching.(3)The school lacks the hardware facilities to develop the ability of geography practice;pays too much attention to the exam-oriented education.On the basis of the analysis of the above problems,this paper puts forward targeted improvement Strategies:(1)Creating a good environment for geography practical ability,(2)Transforming geography teachers' traditional educational idea,(3)Improving students 'sense of geography practical consciousness and geography practical skills,(4)Extend geography practical periods appropriately,(5)Innovate geography practice form,(6)Establishing a perfecting evaluation system of geographical practical ability.This study is the first time to research the cultivation of high school students' geography practical ability in Anyang County.Based on a systematic survey of the current situation of the cultivation of high school students' geography practical ability in three high schools in Anyang County,some problems in the cultivation of geography practical ability were found,and some corresponding improvement strategies were put forward according to the local actual situation.However,the survey only aimed at some liberal arts students in the second year of senior high school.The sample selection was not comprehensive enough and only had a certain representativeness,and the practical teaching cases were not put into practice due to time reasons.It is hoped that in the future,the number of samples will be enlarged,practical teaching cases will be put into practical teaching and constantly improved in order to make greater contributions to the cultivation of high school students' geography practical ability.
