With the deepening of the new round of curriculum reform,geographical core literacy has become the focus of high school geography education curriculum reform.Geography practice,as one of the core literacy of the geography,has become an important part of the advancement of high school geography curriculum.The study focused on high school students in Chongqing.The research methods included literature review,investigation and research,case study,and statistical analysis.Based on the questionnaire survey,the questionnaire was statistically analyzed from four aspects: geographical experience,practice site,practice awareness,emotional attitude,and practical ability.The status quo of geography practice training in high school students in Chongqing was summarized: Geographical practice experience is limited;the construction of teaching infrastructure such as campus geography practice sites is not perfect,and the utilization rate of off-campus practice sites is low;students' interest in geography practice is generally high and their practical awareness is also relatively strong;students' geography practical ability is relatively weak,and has a clear lack of respect in social survey conduction.There are regional differences as well as similarities in the training of geography practical skills for high school students in four areas of Chongqing: The students in the main city area are slightly higher than others in their ability in geographical practice experience and practical ability.Regional students have a higher degree of interest in geography practice,but there are certain differences in different regions;the setting of geographical geography practice places in the four regions reflects differences.Based on the investigation of current conditions,the three practical activities of geography and literacy are used to comprehensively propose strategies for cultivating high school students' geography practical skills,and to design corresponding cases,and to further refine the tactics for geography practice.The field investigation took the case of the plant inspection in Jinyun Mountain as the case,and the social investigation took the case of “Survey of Environmental Awareness and Behavior of Residents of Residential Areas” as a case.The geographical simulation experiment used the thermal circulation simulation experiment in atmospheric motion as a case.To study the current situation of high school students' geography practical training in Chongqing and to propose training strategies that are conducive to enriching the materials provided by geographical practice and to provide reference for the development of high school geographic practice activities,so as to promote the implement in training of geographical practice in high school geography.
