In the 21 st century,countries in the world pay special attention to mother-tongue education,and China is no exception.Chinese language education has been elevated to an unprecedented height,and the cultivation of students' core literacy has become the theme of the times.In 2017,the Ministry of Education of China promulgated the "Standards for Chinese Language Curriculum for Ordinary High Schools",which made the concept of core literacy of the language clear and concrete.The formation and development of the core literacy of the Chinese subject includes four aspects:“language construction and application”,“thinking and development of thinking”,“aesthetic appreciation and creation” and “cultural understanding and inheritance”.Since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core has attached great importance to the inheritance and development of Chinese excellent culture.In the context of the new curriculum reform and the return of traditional culture,it is especially necessary to re-examine the teaching of high school ancient poetry in order to improve the cultivation of core literacy.This thesis takes the ancient poetry teaching as the research object,analyzes the lack of the core literacy of ancient poetry teaching based on the concept of Chinese core literacy,and proposes relevant improvement strategies to promote the cultivation of students' core literacy from the current situation of the lack of ancient poetry teaching.Chinese teachers provide theoretical basis and practical reference.The paper mainly includes the following aspects.The introduction mainly introduces the origin and significance of the research,the definition of the basic concepts,the research summary and the methods and innovations of the research.The first chapter discusses the necessity and feasibility of improving the core literacy of students' language in the teaching of high school poetry.The second chapter mainly studies the deficiency and causes of the high core poetry teaching in the four aspects of Chinese core literacy.The third chapter puts forward four strategies for the teaching of high school and ancient poetry based on the core of Chinese language: based on language construction and application,highlighting the development and promotion of thinking,improvingaesthetic appreciation and creation,and deepening cultural understanding and promotion.Chapter IV is a case study of classical poetry classroom teaching in senior high schools,mainly taking Su Shi's Dingfeng Wave as an example.
