Group Working Methods Involvement Of Migrant Elderly Social Inclusion Studies

With the rapid development of the economy,the development of information networks and transportation,more and more young people have broken their geographical boundaries and began to flow between urban and rural areas and between cities.At the same time,with the intensification of the aging process,older people who leave the stage of production work are affected by the traditional Chinese family concept.Most people choose to follow their children to the urban life of their work.These elderly people who move to take care of their children,their grandchildren’s life,or to come to work with their children to work in the city live in the elderly are referred to as old people.For the old people who move with them,from the familiar to the unfamiliar environment,there are language barriers,narrow social contacts,inadequate social support,unaccustomed diet,and inadaptability to transportation.With the change in family status,the self-efficacy of the elderly is followed.To reduce,these problems affect their quality of life and social integration.From the perspective of social work,this paper,under the guidance of social work professional theories and ethics,adopts group work methods to improve the social integration of the elderly with the relocation.This article takes the elderly in the L community of Wuhan City as the research object,using literature research,questionnaire survey,and interview methods.A questionnaire survey was conducted on 120 elderly people over the age of 60 in the L community and three nearby communities.In-depth interviews were conducted with 16 of them.The survey found that the social interactions of the retired elderly are narrow and only within the family.Awareness and willingness to participate in activities organized in the community are low;activities range from two points and one line at home and nearby supermarkets,and it is difficult to adapt to the city’s complex transportation;family status changes,and family leaders have become executors of their child’s requirements,with a strong psychological gap.According to the analysis of the status quo of L communities,the needs of social integration,social adaptation,and psychological adaptation of the elderly along the way are analyzed,and the necessity and feasibility of the group working methods involved in the social integration of the elderly in need.From the perspective of superiority and people’s theory in context,using the methods and techniques of group work,we carried out four targeted activities for the social integration of elderly people in the L community,namely "I’m good at you" and "Youth.Song of Songs Reverberates,"Begging Friends,Sharing It" and "We Are Family".After each activity,we conduct simple interviews with participants of the event.Finally,we evaluate the effectiveness of the team work from the perspectives of clients and group activities.The results of the study show that through the intervention of group activities in the social integration of the elderly who are relocating,the old people in the relocation have opened the interpersonal circle and are no longer confined to the family.The frequency of social interactions has increased and the degree has deepened.Through the exchanges with the local people,we learned about Wuhan’s Diet and language culture have eliminated strangeness.By participating.in group activities,they have increased peer-to-peer group exchanges with similar experiences and have increased self-confidence.The limitation of the study is that the number of group activities covered by the group is limited.Individuals relocating to the community do not adapt to the community when they first enter the community,and they are excluded from participating in the group activities.Therefore,to solve the social integration problem of the relocating elderly,the individual case work,group work,and community work should be fully utilized.The joint role of the three major social work methods.After the group activities,the elderly people who moved did not regularly gather time,lacked communication,and gradually returned to their previous living conditions.Therefore,we must continue to carry out follow-up series of activities to consolidate and develop the results of the activities.
