The Source Text(ST)comes from the Center for Strategies and International Studies(CSIS),a think tank of America. It is written by Nathaniel Ahrens and Zhou Yu with more than 14,000 English words. The text mainly talks about Lenovo‘s rise, the current state of competitiveness in relation to its international peers, policy implications and Lenovo‘s relationship with Japan and the United States, serving as a typical example of economic text. The author applies the ?Comprehension,Expression and Adaptation?(CEA)Framework proposed by Professor Li Changshuan in analyzing some cases in the course of the translation. The Framework contains the instruments and translation methods used in the phases in translation. In the comprehension phase, the author employed dictionaries and parallel texts to comprehend the ST.In the expression phase, the author had improved high-quality translation by utilizing some useful methods. Finally in the process of expression, the author could also adapt expressions by using some translation methods of amplification, omission, inversion and conversion to enhance the quality of translation.Through this translation practice, the author is benefited from and makes great progress in translation competence.First of all,the author should acquire relevant necessary information as much as possible and come to understand the original author ‘s attitude towards the issue in the report to be translated. At the same time, the author deeply realizes that a translator should be excellent at both source language and target language skills. And finally,as far as the expression in the target language is concerned, attention should be paid to the differences between Chinese and English expressions. To be understandable, the translation should be in line with Chinese usage, avoiding the unnatural foreign tone in the translation. It is the author‘s hope that the report will give some references to those students who want to write the translation report.
