| With the continuous deepening of the "Belt and Road" initiative, the continuous optimization of the international business environment, and the in-depth construction of a community with a shared future for mankind, legal exchanges between China and ASEAN countries have become more and more frequent.Legal research on ASEAN countries is attracting the attention of scholars, among which legal translation plays a vital role as a bridge. This report selects the “VOCATIONAL EDUCATION LAW OF THE SOCIALIST REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM” as the translation material, based on the framework of “comprehension, expression and adaptation" proposed by Li Changshuan, combined with Eugene Nida’s functional equivalence theory, sorts out translation difficulties from the three dimensions of“comprehension, expression and adaptation”,and analyzes the Vietnamese legal translations’ strategies and methods with examples. In the “comprehension” section, the lexical meaning and sentence structure of the original text are understood through in-text logic and external tools;in the “expression” section, focus on the expression of professional vocabulary and the use of concise language;in the “adaptation”section, the expression of the translated text is adjusted by adjusting the word order, changing the voice, and flexibly adding and deleting,so as to enhance the readability of the translated text. |
