Recent years have witnessed the fast development of real estate industry in China,and overseas expansion has become urgent for Chinese real estate companies.When enter a new market,corporate promotional materials are an important attraction.In the process of translating Chinese promotional texts,translators may come across typical difficulties in message delivery that require corresponding strategies.This thesis,taking the translation of Mingda Yihang Corporate Brochure as an example,discusses typical problems in information delivery when translating Chinese promotional texts,and explores the corresponding message delivery strategies.This thesis,based on literature for reference,introduces the case of the Chinese-English translation project of Mingda Yihang corporate brochure,discusses its writing style and text functions,and analyzes the difficulties of the original text in message delivery,including lack of logic,disconnection of information,incomplete sentences,hidden messages and exaggeration of words.Through comparing initial translation with the finalized version after review,this thesis provides translators with message delivery strategies that can be adopted in this situation,including logic explication,information supplementary and appropriate omission.The thesis aims to not only improve awareness and translation skills of the writer,also to provide valuable references for other translators to jointly improve the quality of Chinese-English translation of promotional texts,and thus help the companies achieve their goal.
