| China’s political system plays a unique role in the world stage with prominent Chinese characteristics.In the context of globalization,raw materials about the Chinese political system are in great demand and act as the media for the outside world to know about China.Due to the difference of language and cultural background between Chinese and foreigners,translation in China’s global communication is a necessity in conveying messages to foreign readers.Based on the English translation of The Key Roles of the CPC in Addressing China’s Issues and The Great Way of China – The Communist Party of China and the Chinese Socialism,two major translation principles were concluded in this thesis,namely explication and conciseness of key information.Under the guidance of these two principles,translators can use three main strategies in their translation,including compensation,deletion and interpretive translation.The strategies were illustrated in detail with cases in the two books.By comprehensively taking advantage of the three translation strategies,messages can be more effectively conveyed. |
