Cancer pain not only seriously affects the quality of life of patients, but also reduces their desire to survive,so that they not only have to bear the physical pain, but also withstand psychological, social and other pressures.so patients with cancer pain urgently need care and support from doctors, nurses, social workers and family members. In the process of treatment and rehabilitation, medical staff should not only pay attention to the patient's physical problems, but also give more humanistic care to the patients from the psychological level. As the medical model shifts from a simple biomedical model to a "biological-psychological-social medicine" model, the needs of patients at the psychological, social and spiritual levels have also received more and more attention. However, the current research in the field of cancer in China is mostly focused on the clinical treatment of diseases, and relatively little attention is paid to the psychological, spiritual and social support of patients.Although social workers have carried out clinical practice in hospitals on patient's emotions, life pressure, etc.,most of them are fragmented interventions and have not formed a complete management system. This article is based on the author's one-year professional internship in the Social Work Department of Jiangxi S Cancer Hospital, and selected cancer pain patients in some departments as the research object. In response to the needs of cancer pain patients on the physical, psychological, social and spiritual levels, the author uses social support theory and ecosystem theory as guidance, integrates the resources of multiple departments in the hospital, and provides cancer pain management services for cancer pain patients under interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary cooperation by using case and group work methods.(1)On the physiological level, social work is a helper for medical personnel, assisting medical personnel to better provide treatment for cancer pain patients;(2)On the psychological level, social workers and psychological counselors provide psychological rehabilitation counseling, counseling and treatment services for patients with cancer pain.At the same time, carry out case and group activities to alleviate the anxiety and depression of cancer pain patients and reduce their psychological pressure;(3)On the social level,Social workers link related resources to patients with cancer pain, such as communities or public welfare organizations,to help them build social support networks;(4)On the spirituallevel,Social workers use art therapy methods, such as music therapy or meditation therapy, combined with narrative therapy to help cancer pain patients externalize their own problems and form correct cancer pain perception.According to the results of social work intervention service evaluation, social workers combined the resources of the hospital and used case and group work methods to provide four levels of “physical, psychological, social and spiritual” for the seven cancer patients in Jiangxi S Cancer Hospital. The service found that this has a greater role in promoting the recovery of patients with cancer pain.In recent years, considering the comfort of patients ' hospitalization, the hospital has greatly improved the hospitalization environment, set up a social work department, and opened a special doctor-patient communication platform. It is undeniable that there are still some dilemmas in the medical social work involved in the management of patients with cancer pain. The occurrence of these dilemmas is closely related to the development of medical social work and the working environment of medical social workers in China. The author analyzes the causes of the predicament:policy support in the field of medical social work, hospital department management, social recognition and medical social workers themselves, and puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.
