Cancer is still an unsolvable problem for human being. However, development of medical science has largely enriched our understanding of cancer, meanwhile the clinical diagnosis and treatment are improved as well. Instead of pursuing clinical cure, shrinking the tumour volume and prolonging the survival time, people focus on improving the life quality of cancer patients.This practice project belongs to hospice of Geriatric social work. The objective of hospice is unsing people-oriented, all-round service to improve the quality of life of cancer patients. In order to help patients to have high life quality and dignity at the last moment of life, hospice will mainly alleviate the pain and provide active life via mental and psychological support and appropriate symptomatic treatment. Financially supported by foundation of Mr. Jiacheng Li, we set up a support group for the terminal cancer patients,and used group social work to organize activities. The main purpose of the project is offering the terminal cancer patients the best support and courage, providing mutual help by organizing benefit association in order to render patients pass through the last moment of life with happiness. This project commenced with demand investigation, goal setting,activity design, activities and results summary, project evaluation. The records, assessment and summary of the project will be included in this thesis in detail.
