| Objective:Based on combined internal-external therapy of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM),the paper aims at studying the clinical efficacy and influence on TCM syndrome scores in treating children chalazion with xianlizhong ointment combined with oral administration of TCM in order to Provide supporting for clinical popularization.Method:Children who visited the January of Ophthalmology in Gansu University of Chinese Medicine in January 2018 to January 2020 are selected.According to relevant standards,90 patients are randomly divided into three groups:western medicine group,external therapy group,and combined internal-external therapy group with 30 paitients in each group.In the western medicine group,the tobramycin drop and tepid towers to cover the eyelids in the meantime.Treatment repeats three times a day.In the external therapy group,chalazion ointment is applied evenly to sterile gauze with the thickness of 1.5 mm,and then apply the gauze to the surface of skin lesions,and fix with adhesive tape.Chalazion ointment will be rinsed in the next morning,treatment was given once a day.In the combined internal-external therapy group,on the basis of the treatment of external therapy group,the patients take Hua Jian Er Chen decoction with addition or subtraction twice a day.The changes of lesion size are observed respectively in two weeks,four weeks and eight weeks after the treatments,to further evaluate the efficacy.TCM efficacy scores and the color of lesions are observed before and after the treatment.And relapse rate was observed in the following three months.Result:1.General information: Tests are conducted over children's age,gender,pathogenic site,onset time,and focal size before the treatment.The results show that there are no statistical differences among the three groups(P>0.05),which means the criteria of research are met.2.The changes of focal size: Within groups,comparative values of measurement in three groups all show statistical significance before and after treatment(P<0.05).The changes of focal size in external therapy group and combined internal-external therapy group are more significant than that in western medicine group,indicating the efficacy of the other twogroups are better than that of western medicine group.3.The color of lesions:There is no significant difference between the groups before and after the treatment(P>0.05).Within groups,the scores were apparently reduced after the treatment.4.TCM syndrome score: Before treatment,comparison in syndrome scores among three show no statistically significance(P>0.05).After the treatment,the scores of TCM efficacy in three groups decrease,and are statistically significant when compared within groups(P<0.05).5.Clinical effect: the total effective rate of Western medicine group was 66.67%,external treatment group was 86.67%,internal and external treatment group was 90.00%,P= 0.030(<0.05),there was statistical significance between the groups.Conclusion:1.The method of external therapy can evidently reduce the focal size,color and TCM syndrome scores and improve local and systematic conditions of patients.Local application of drugs is targeted medication,and the oral use of Chinese medicine can be added or reduced flexibly according to patient's condition,which can also relieve children's pain and prevent them from suffering the pain of surgical removal.2.Combined internal-external therapy has significantly curative effect on treating chalazion in children.The advantage was demonstrated in the clinical results and worthy of Promotion. |
