Objective To explore the related factors of functional constipation in children and their effects on temperament and social adaptability,to provide data and basis for the diagnosis and intervention of functional constipation.Methods From September 2018 to September 2019,103 children aged 3-5 years old who had difficulty in defecating and met the Roman IV diagnostic criteria for children's functional constipation were selected as research objects.Meanwhile,94 healthy children who came to the outpatient department of children's hospital affiliated to anhui medical university for normal physical examination were selected as the control group.Among them,107 were male children,accounting for 54.3% of the total,and 90 were female children,accounting for 45.7% of the total,with a male-female ratio of1.19:1.The average age of children in the constipation group was(4.04±0.83),and that of children in the control group was(4.04±0.82).Using self-made child functional constipation related factors questionnaire,3 to 7 years old children's temperament scale,Infant-junior high school social adjustment scale,Statistical analysis was carried out on the collected questionnaire data,and finally draw the conclusion.Results1.Functional constipation related influencing factors in the single factor analysis,have a family history of constipation,fine food,picky eating,lower consumption of fruits and vegetables,less coarse grains,drinking more milk,more Fried puffing food,less water,less exercise,parents quarreling with their children,early defecation training,blaming children for defecation mistakes,unfamiliar environment and playing with toys all had a statistical impact on children's functional constipation(P is equal to 0.001?0.001?0.001?0.001?0.001?0.002?0.001?0.001?0.001?0.004?0.001?0.001?0.014?0.001,P<0.05)?2.Multivariate regression analysis of functional constipation in children showed that,lower consumption of fruits and vegetables,less water,less exercise,blaming children for defecation mistakes,and holding back while playing toys are the risk factors for functional constipation(OR is equal to 8.154?6.653?2.728?18.620?6.732,P<0.05).Early defecation training is an independent protective factor for children with functional constipation(OR is equal to 0.251,P<0.05).3.In terms of temperament dimension,there was a significant difference in regularity and phobotaxis score between children with functional constipation and children in the control group(P is equal to 0.011?0.039,P < 0.05).4.In terms of social adaptability,there were significant differences in collective activity ability between children with functional constipation and children in the control group(P is equal to 0.002,P < 0.05).Conclusions Dietary factors,amount of exercise,defecation training and mental factors all have an impact on the occurrence of children's functional constipation,These should give enough attention..In addition,functional constipation has an impact on children's psychological and behavioral development and social adaptability.Parents should patiently encourage and guide the children to help them build up confidence,which will not only have better effects on the treatment of functional constipation,but also promote the comprehensive development of children's physical and mental health.
