ObjectiveTo understand HIV/AIDS patients' present situation of social adaptation,investigate the general situation of HIV/AIDS,social support status,quality of life and other factors affecting social adaptation.And it provides theoretical basis for AIDS prevention and treatment in the future and the group's reintegration into society.MethodsTwo sample areas were randomly selected from the high,middle and low incidence areas of AIDS in Henan province,and survey by questionnaire.The self-social adaptation scale(HIV-SAS),social support rating Scale(SSRS),quality of life scale(MOS-HIV)were used to calculate the total social adaptation score of AIDS patients,analyze the relationship between the score and the general situation,treatment situation,physical condition and quality of life of patients,and study the factors affecting the score.Qualitative data were described by case number(%),and quantitative data by t test and variance analysis.Multiple linear regression analysis was used to screen the factors affecting patients' social adaptation.ResultsAmong 222 subjects,male self-social adaptation score was 43.55± 6.71,female 40.54 ±7.01,which was statistically significant.The self-social adaptation scores of patients aged below 35 years old were 45.51±6.51,scores of 35~44 years old were 43.61±6.87.Scores of 45~54 years old were 40.83±6.99.Scores of 55~64 years old were 39.48±4.02.And the scores of patients 65 and older than 65 were 37.90±7.00,respectively,with statistical significance.The scores of farmers' self-social adaptability were 41.65 ± 5.60.The scores of workers were 44.28 ± 6.63.The scores of Business/service people were 46.42±7.33.The scores of students were 47.63±5.0.The scores of civil servants/cadres were 49.10±8.39.The scores of retired/retired cadres were 36.60±6.45,and the scores of others were 40.45±5.78,which were statisticallysignificant.Patients who had never received AIDS ART treatment scored 45.88±7.61 in self-social adaptation,37.87±7.49 in treatment,and 42.85±6.69 in treatment,which was statistically significant.The Pearson coefficient r of life quality,social support and self-social adaptability was 0.46 and 0.34,respectively,which were statistically significant.Multiple linear regression analysis showed that age,gender,divorce/retirement status,art treatment,social support and life quality were the factors influencing the self-social adaptation of AIDS patients.ConclusionThe score of self-social adaptability of AIDS patients is low,which is affected by gender,age,occupation,treatment status,quality of life and social support factors.
