Objective Investigate the distribution of height and prevalence of short stature among children aged 7-12 in Baota District,Yan'an City,and analyze the related factors that affect the height of children,and then guide local prevention and early treatment of short stature.Methods From May 2018 to July 2019,the cluster sampling method was adopted,and students from grades 1-6 in 6 primary schools in Baota District,Yan'an City were randomly selected as the research sample.The selected schools are Yanda Primary School,Liulin Primary School,Peizhi Primary School,Liqu Primary School,Xinqu Primary School and Beiguan Primary School.7762 students aged 7-12 were selected as the research objects.First,the height measurement of these 7762 students,using the results of the survey of nine provinces / cities in 2005 as a reference standard,analyzed the distribution of children 's height in Baota District of Yan'an City and calculated the prevalence of shortness.Secondly,randomly select 2000 students from these 7762 students,issue questionnaires,and analyze the related factors that affect height.Finally,the measured data and the results of the questionnaire are statistically processed and analyzed.Results 1.Excluding those with incomplete data,this survey has a total of 7300 people,including 3906 boys(53.5%),3394 girls(46.5%);909 7-year-old students(12.5%)and 1393 8-year-old students((19.0%),9720 students at 9 years old(23.6%),1519 students at 10 years old(20.8%),1205 students at 11 years old(16.5%),554 students at 12 years old(7.6%);There are 448 students(6.1%)in the Yanda Primary School,1005 students(15.8%)in Peizhi Primary School,1156 students(13.8%)in Liulin Primary School,222 students(3.2%)in Liqu Primary School,and 1337 students(18.3%)in the New District Primary School,Beiguan Primary School School has 3132 students(42.9%).A total of 2,000 questionnaires were distributed in this survey,excluding those with imperfect information.A total of 1,907 participated in the study,and Among them,93 children with short stature(4.9%).2.The average height of girls in the 7-10 age group in Baota District,Yan'an City is lower than the average height of boys in the same group,and the average height of the girls 11-12 years group is higher than the average height of boys in the same group(all P<0.05).The heights of boys and girls cross about 10 years old,and the heights increased in this age group are higher than those in other age groups.3.Compared with the survey results of nine provinces / cities in 2005,the heights of children in Baota District of Yan'an City are higher than the average heights of 7-year-old girls,7-year-old boys,and 8-year-old boys(all P<0.05).The average height of children in Duan was less than the survey results of nine provinces / cities(all P <0.05).4.The height of the students in these 6 schools increases with age.Every year the age of boys and girls in Yanda Primary School increases by one year,the height increases by 4.22 cm and 4.12 cm accordingly.For every one-year increase in the age of boys and girls in Liqu Primary School,the height increases by 4.76 cm and 4.82 cm accordingly.For boys and girls in Liulin Primary School,the age increases by 1 year,and the height increases by 4.1cm and 5.0cm accordingly.The age of boys and girls in the Peizhi Primary School increased by one year,and their heights increased by 4.64 cm and 5.18 cm accordingly.For each year the age of boys and girls in Primary Schools in the New District increases by one year,the height increases by 4.94 cm and 5.24 cm accordingly.For every one-year increase in the age of boys and girls in Beiguan Primary School,the height increases accordingly by 4.66 cm and 3.84 cm.5.The detection rate of total shortness in Baota District of Yan'an City was 7.2%.The detection rate of short stature for boys was 6.3%,and that for girls was 8.2%(c2=212.292,P <0.05).The detection rate of 7-year-old children's short stature was 2.2%,thedetection rate of 8-year-old children's short stature was 7.3%,the detection rate of9-year-old children's short stature was 7.8%,the detection rate of 10-year-old children's short stature was 6.6%,and that of 11-year-old children The detection rate of short stature was 8.5%,and that of 12-year-old children was 11.9%(c2= 57.3572,P<0.05).The detection rate of short stature in Primary School of the New District is 3.1%,the detection rate of short stature in Beiguan Primary School is 5.2%,the detection rate of small statures in Yanda Primary School is 6.9%,the detection rate of short stature in Peizhi Primary School is 7.7%,and the detection rate of short stature in Liqu Primary School It was 8.6%,and the detection rate of short stature in Liulin Primary School was16.8%.(c2 = 212.292,P <0.05).6.Age(OR = 0.648,P <0.01),eating speed per meal less than 20 minutes(OR=0.488,P <0.01),is a protective factor of height;father 's height is less than 170cm(OR=2.536,P <0.01),Mother's height is less than 160cm(OR=3.207,P<0.001),family annual income is less than 70,000(OR=5.831,P<0.01)is a risk factor for height.Conclusion 1.The height development level of boys and girls in Baota District of Yan'an City is lower than the results of the survey of nine provinces / cities in 2005.2.The prevalence of dwarfism in Baota District of Yan'an City is higher than the national level.3.The height of children in Baota District of Yan'an City is related to the family's annual income,the time taken to eat each meal and the height of parents.
